What you need to know about spring 2022 graduation
Cal Poly Humboldt is hosting its first in-person commencement ceremony since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Anyone interested in participating in the spring 2022 commencement, or cultural graduation ceremonies must register online by Friday, April 8.
The main commencement ceremony will take place Saturday, May 14 at Redwood Bowl. Graduates who are double majoring and would like to attend both colleges’ ceremonies will need to register for both. The times of each college’s ceremony are listed below:
College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences: 8:30 a.m.
College of Natural Resources & Sciences: Noon
College of Professional Studies: 3:30 p.m.
Cultural graduation ceremonies will take place on the following dates and times, at the corresponding locations:
Queer Graduation Celebration: May 5, 5 – 7 p.m., Goodwin Forum Room 102 in Nelson Hall East
Native Graduation Celebration: May 12, 6 – 8 p.m., Van Duzer Theater & Balabanis Art Quad
Black Graduation Celebration: May 13, 1 – 3 p.m., Founders Hall Courtyard
Latinx Graduation Celebration: May 13, 3 – 5 p.m., Lumberjack Arena in Kinesiology & Athletics Building
Asian, Desi, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and North African (ADPI+MENA) Graduation Celebration: May 13, 5:30 – 7 p.m., Goodwin Forum Room 102 in Nelson Hall East
Students registering for commencement ceremonies will need to request tickets for their invited attendees. Tickets are specific to each ceremony, if students are planning to attend the main commencement ceremony as well as a cultural graduation ceremony, they will need to get tickets for both ceremonies.
Tickets can be requested at the time of registration. At each ceremony, attendees will be asked to present a QR code that is linked to their ticket. It can be printed or on an electronic device. If graduates need more tickets than the maximum amount allowed, they can request more by emailing grad@humboldt.edu.
All attendees will be asked to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status with a booster vaccine upon arrival at the main commencement ceremony and at all cultural graduation ceremonies. If someone is not vaccinated or has not received their COVID-19 booster vaccine, they will need to show a negative test result within the past 72 hours. This can be a lab tester or an at-home test.
Alumni who have already graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt are still eligible to register for the spring 2022 commencement ceremony. To sign up for commencement, email grad@humboldt.edu.
