Letters to the Editor

Letters should be exclusive to El Leñador, they may not have been submitted to, posted to or published by any other media.

We encourage a diversity of voices and views in our letters. Letters should preferably be 150 to 175 words, should refer to an article that has appeared in the last issue, and must include the writer’s full name and their city of residence — anonymous letters and letters written under pseudonyms will not be considered. For verification purposes, they must also include the writer’s e-mail address and telephone numbers. (This information will not be shared with the public.)

To be considered for publication in our print issue letters should be sent in at least one week before our publication date. (Usually the first week of the month.) We accept letters by email and surface mail; however, because timeliness is a critical factor in the selection of letters we publish, we strongly encourage submissions by email.

We cannot guarantee your letter will be published. Writers of letters selected for publication will be notified within a week. Letters may be edited and shortened for space.
