CUMBRE Humboldt: Scholarship for Latine Students deadline Oct. 31

CUMBRE Humboldt is a non-profit organization in Humboldt County that provides resources and scholarships to Latine students experiencing issues such as language barriers, financial needs, lack of access to technology and educational opportunities.

Ten students will be awarded a $500 scholarship this semester, applications open Oct. 1 at 8 a.m. and must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. PST on Oct. 31 at CUMBREHumboldt.org


  • Must self-identify as Latine
  • Reside in Humboldt County and attend or plan to attend a higher educational institution in Humboldt County
  • Demonstrate proof of enrollment or application to a college, vocational, or technical school. Open to high school students in their last year or other
    non-traditional students
  • Preference will be given, but not limited to, low-income students and undocumented individuals
  • Answer all four short essay questions
