Cumbre Humboldt 2024 scholarship for the Latine community
Cumbre Humboldt is a non-profit dedicated to offering educational and enrichment opportunities for the Latine community across Humboldt County. Their scholarship “Reach Your Star” will provide 10 students with $500. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is Dec. 1 at 11:59 p.m.
In order to apply applicants must:
- Be Latinx or Hispanic
- Reside in Humboldt County, attend or plan to attend a college/university/school in Humboldt County
- Demonstrate that they are enrolled or have applied to a college, vocational, or a technical school
- Demonstrate financial need
Cumbre Humboldt has already awarded 50 scholarships through their program. Lucy Salazar, the president of Cumbre Humboldt, hopes Latine individuals will take this opportunity to receive support in reaching their goals.
“It’s really impressive the resilience in folks who have endured difficulties and how they are still inspiring to go further, that’s the ‘Reach Your Stars,’ ” Salazar said. “We want to give you a little boost financially so you can achieve your dreams.”
