The WRC offers women’s circles, book clubs, events, workshops, free menstrual products, including reusable products like menstrual cups, and stock the CPH bathrooms with organic cotton menstrual products. All people are welcome to drop in during office hours.

Planned Parenthood is known for their inclusive and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care. The Eureka Health Center offers: checkups when you have a reproductive/sexual health problems, breast exams, cervical cancer screening, colposcopy, mammogram referrals, menopause and midlife education and treatment, Pap tests, routine physicals for women ages 13 and older, UTI testing and treatment, as well as vaginal infection testing and treatment. Other services they provide include help with irregular or no periods, painful periods, painful sex, bleeding between periods, menstrual problems (premenstrual syndrome).

Another important resource Planned Parenthood offers for men is vasectomies.

The North Coast Rape Crisis Team is a huge resource for survivors of sexual assault. Some of the services they offer include: individual counseling, support groups, prevention education, outreach, information, referrals, and advocacy as well as accompaniment with law enforcement, court personnel, medical providers, etc.

If a Spanish speaker calls the hotline and the counselor they connect with is not bilingual, during business hours, they will be directed to call the business line to connect with an advocate who is. If they call after hours, the counselor will get the caller’s phone number and a bilingual advocate will call them back during business hours.

For survivors of domestic violence or intimate partner violence, Humboldt Domestic Violence Services is a non-profit organization you can reach out to for help.

HDVS provide a multitude of services in Humboldt County. Those services include: One on one peer counseling, support groups, restraining order assistance, emergency food & clothing, sheltering options, court & social service accompaniment and child services.
